We are honored to announce our guest speakers for our Sept. 17 meeting: Kevin Thompson, Chair, and Nick Myers, Vice Chair, of the Arizona Corporation Commission.
The Arizona Corporation Commission ensures safe, reliable, and affordable utility services, supports business growth, modernizes government operations, and enforces ethical standards in securities. Its five elected Commissioners oversee utilities and regulate water, electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, securities, pipelines, and railroad safety across the state.
Kevin Thompson was elected by his peers as Chair of the Arizona Corporation in January 2025. He has over 25 years of utility, regulatory, and public service experience, including serving as a twice-elected Mesa City Councilman. Kevin is a United States Air Force combat veteran, serving in Operation Desert Storm. As a small business owner, he has helped clients grow and expand their own businesses while bringing economic development to Arizona.
Nick Myers serves as the Vice Chairman of the Arizona Corporation Commission, the first to hold this newly established leadership position. He was elected to the Commission in 2022, bringing a background in software engineering, entrepreneurship, and regulatory advocacy following a significant dispute with a utility company. He is the first commissioner elected from Pinal County.
The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Republican GOP Club meets the third Wednesday of the month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Sol Ballroom at the Ranch House Grill and Brewery. All SBR residents are welcome to attend.
Our goal is to educate our community about people and issues at the local, state, and federal level. Please watch for our meeting announcements in the weekly Ranch Reminder. See you there!
