Rock and Roll Dance Set for January 12

Scott Lowry

Start 2022 by rocking out to the music of The Doobie Brothers, The Rolling Stones, The Temptations, Linda Ronstadt, Rod Stewart, Fleetwood Mac, Michael Jackson, The Supremes, The Beach Boys, B52s, Chuck Berry, Journey, Bon Jovi, and many more! Mark your calendar for Jan. 12 and come with your friends, a partner, or alone, to listen and dance to the music that moves you. You’ll fit right in whether you dance the “Twist,” the “Mashed Potato,” disco, slow huggy dancing, or just doing your own thing!

The SaddleBrooke Sol Ballroom doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the dance running from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Food and drinks can be purchased at the bar. The January dance is for SBR residents only. Attendance is limited to 150 people.

This dance is the first of a full year of monthly rock and roll dances to be put on by the SaddleBrooke Ranch Social Dance Club. Each month you’ll have the opportunity to listen and dance to hits from the 1960s to 1990s.

Holding monthly rock and roll dances allows us all to celebrate the music we grew up with and helps to round out the monthly dances held by the club. Currently, the club holds a ballroom dance and a country/western dance each month.

Besides the dances planned for 2022, there are dance lessons scheduled throughout the year to help you learn something new and to have fun.

Dance parties are open to SBR residents who are members or nonmembers of the SBR Social Dance Club. Dance club members save on the price of dances and lessons. For a complete list of upcoming dances and dance lessons and to register, go to the club website at sbrsbdc.club.
