SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association members participated in a number of Pickleball tournaments in Arizona at the end of 2014. The strongest showing of players was at the Voyager Holiday Tournament in Tucson on December 4-6, 2014. The skill levels of this competition were for 3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 4.5; 5.0 for Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. The club had three teams winning medals. In Men’s Doubles for 3.0, the team of Craig McHugh and Keith Sturdivant took Gold; team of Jim Carstens and Peter Bratz took Silver. In Women’s Doubles for 3.0, the team of Sally Grasso and Debbie McCauley took Silver. The Men’s Doubles 3.0 teams placed in the top half of the 25 team bracket.

Mixed Doubles 3.5 – 26 Teams: Angela Jerman and Bud Fairbanks
Mixed Doubles 4.0 – 14 teams: Bill Reynolds and Linda Valencia (Albuquerque)
Bill Reynolds, Rick Hanson and Paul Frederickson from the SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association played in other Arizona tournaments, which included Trilogy at Vistancia Tournament in Peoria, AZ; the USAPA Nationals VI in Buckeye, AZ; the East Valley Tournament and the Mesa Regal Tournament in Mesa, AZ; the USAPA Southwest Regional Tournament at El Mirage, AZ. Paul Frederickson brought home a Silver Medal in the Men’s Single Open at the Southwest Regional Tournament.
