Auction table filled with beautiful glass art

The Saddlebrooke Ranch Cancer Support Group has been taking on cancer for more than 10 years, and 2025 was no different. Although our past fundraising has always been successful, the Cancer Support Group provided a new approach to include more residents in the fun. Our first annual Silent Auction took place on Oct. 17, where well over 200 people came to enjoy the festivities and participate in raising money for cancer research and direct support via Blood Cancer United (formerly the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society).
Crowds were entertained by SaddleBrooke Ranch’s own band, AZ You Wish.
More than 100 items, donated by residents and local businesses, were available for bidding. Including a donation box for attendees, the event raised over $7,000. Combined with team member fundraising efforts, Team SBR: Strong—Brave—Resilient raised over $15,200!
Bidding started strong and continued until each table closed. We wish to thank all persons who helped make this evening a success (with over 100 names, the article would be way too long!). To everyone who came to bid on items or to support your community of cancer survivors and their families, thank you so much! Your presence was incredibly appreciated!
A committee has already begun planning next year’s silent auction. Watch for requests in 2026 for auction items (must be new in original container or artist work).
If you or a loved one has experienced cancer or is currently receiving treatment, find out how we can help! For more information contact Sandy Jessop at sjessop@att.net.
