SBR Cancer Support Group Continues Supporting Each Other

Sandy Jessop

It’s the worst club to be in; but the best club if you need it.

The SBR Cancer Support Group, founded in 2015, is a community of caring, compassionate, and understanding SaddleBrooke Ranch residents who have at least one thing in common: cancer. Whether you have battled this disease yourself or have helped care for a loved one, the Cancer Support Group members provide love and understanding to all members.

Our April gathering took place bright and early at the Bistro for breakfast, where we shared coffee, hugs, and knowledge. Author and Ranch resident Kathy Adis also shared a copy of her book, Repeat After Me—Simple Truths to Help You Survive a Crisis with all attendees.

The meeting reminded members that we support each other by providing rides, meals, shopping, or any other activity that can assist residents as they recover from or attend treatment.

Another main topic of discussion was the 8th Annual Cancer Walk and 4th Annual Golf Cart Ride. These two events are open to all SaddleBrooke Ranch residents and are free, although registration is required for either or both activities. To ensure we have enough T-shirts and lanterns, please consider registering as soon as possible by following the information below:
