SBR Health and Wellness Fair a Huge Success!

Linda Shannon-Hills and Health and Wellness Fair Committee

The Ranch House Sol Ballroom was buzzin’ with over 50 exhibitors and over 480 residents in attendance at the second SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Health and Wellness Fair held on Feb. 22.

Our residents were going out of their way to share positive comments with our health fair volunteers, telling us how impressed they were with our first fair. Exhibitors continued to tell me how organized the running of the fair was with the help from our amazing volunteers and we received such positive comments from residents about having them at this fair.

Support from the local health and wellness providers was amazing. Our Platinum sponsor, Desert Life Pharmacy, was joined by pharmacy students from the University of Arizona. They provided blood pressure checks, glucose testing, various vaccinations, medication reviews, and assistance with medication questions. A partner of the pharmacy, AZ Diagnostic Pathology Associates, was available to answer questions about lab services they provide at Desert Life Pharmacy on Friday mornings from 8 to 11:30 a.m. (appointments on our website, desertlifepharmacy.com).

We are so thankful for our sponsors:

Gold: Desert Dermatology, Blue Lemon Therapy and Consulting, Pain Institute of Southern Arizona, and Right at Home.

Silver: Splendido at Rancho Vistoso, A Senior Journey, AAA of Arizona, Dentistry by Design, Empty Cup Wellness, Encompass Health and Rehab Hospital, Home Instead, Uplift Hospice of Tucson.

There were exhibitors from various senior/assisted living facilities, inhome caregivers, acupuncture, massage, pharmacist, dermatologist, physical therapy, eye care, hospice care, rehabilitation centers, memory care facilities, chiropractic services, nutrition experts, pain management, allergist, dentist, and SaddleBrooke Ranch resident support groups.

Also exhibiting were All Seasons, At Home Health Care NW, AZ Mediquip, Blue Moon Acupuncture, Casa De La Luz, Chiropractor USA, Dr. David FreemanAllergist, Duke Nutrition Experts, Earlux Hearing Aids, Fairwinds at Desert Point, First Step to Wellness, La Posada at Pusch Ridge, Oracle Eye Specialist, Proactive Physical Therapy, Senior Support Alliances, Sonoran Foot & Ankle Institute, Southwest Guided Adventures, Synergy Homecare, TEK Audiology, and The Cottages of Tucson.

“This is an outstanding health fair!” and “Very well organized!” were just some of the comments.
