The SaddleBrooke Ranch Pickleball Association Skills Committee sponsored a Ladies Only Lesson (LOL) on October 4, 2016 at the Ranch courts. This first-time event was attended by 16 participants having various levels of experience. Four volunteer coaches provided instruction, led by head coach Jodie Koerner. Also assisting were Sally Grasso, Debbie McCauley and Linda Gorman.
A variety of skills were taught including serve and return, dinking, paddle-to-paddle and third shot drop. Each skill was taught on a separate court by one of the coaches. At the end of the two-hour session participants played a game and had to demonstrate or try to execute the skills for reinforcement.
The enthusiasm from the coaches and participants was great. A second LOL session was scheduled on October 18, 2016 for those who missed the first session and those who wanted more LOL!
