Tech Club at the SBR Club Expo on Feb. 21
Jeff Kaczmarek
The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Technology Club had a full house of more than 40 people on March 4 to hear another fascinating presentation by Chuck Harder on “What’s New in AI for 2026.” In addition, we had a follow-up Q&A session the next day led by Dan Heilman, that got into specific questions members had on their most burning AI (artificial intelligence) opportunities. There is so much interest in this subject that we are discussing forming an informal AI “discussion group” to share members’ questions and answers. Stay tuned for more on this and other potential discussion groups on different topics.
The Tech Club’s booth at the Club Expo on Feb. 21 was swamped with folks curious about the club’s services and questions on how to become a member. We have over 250 members currently, so check out our website at sbrtechnology.club to get information on upcoming events and to register as a member.
There are two upcoming events in April of importance:
* April 6 from 9 a.m. to noon (in the Ranch House parking lot) is our semi-annual Electronics Recycling event. This is an opportunity to properly dispose of your used electronic equipment via our partnership with the Keepers of the Grumper. Look for their truck in the parking lot. This event is free and open to everyone at SBR.
* April 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. (in the LaMesa/LaMontana rooms) will be a presentation on “Digital Assets & Peace of Mind.” How to protect your passwords, crypto currency, and legal documents when you die will be addressed by Jordan Young, an Elder Law Attorney at Fleming & Curti, PLC. This event is free and open to everyone at SBR. Please register via our website (www.sbrtechnology.club).
We look forward to seeing you at these events! Be on the lookout for upcoming classes and events sponsored by your Technology Club.
