Technology affects all aspects of modern life. Working or retired, you spend time on computers, smart phones, social media and much more. The more we are online, the more we are vulnerable to hacking and security concerns, but what can and should we be doing to protect ourselves when we are online? Don’t stick your head in the sand hoping you won’t be hacked or your identity stolen. Learn more about how you can be protected. The SBR Technology Club is hosting a panel discussion to help you understand how to improve your protection and determine what your vulnerabilities might be on Monday, February 11 at 4:30 p.m.
Get answers to important questions: Do you use strong passwords? How often do you change your passwords? How do you keep track of them? What anti-virus is recommended? How do I know I’m on a secure website?
Our two panelists will be Larry Schweitzer and Ken Knapp. Larry will be speaking in his position as owner of CMIT Solutions of East and West Nassau, providing information technology solutions to small businesses. Ken is a cybersecurity expert with a long history in the field working for various government departments including DOD. The panel will be moderated by Mike Neal. There will be ample opportunity for questions following the panel discussion.
Mark your calendars as you don’t want to miss this discussion on Monday, February 11 at 4:30 p.m. in La Mesa and Montana Rooms located in La Hacienda Club. The SBR Technology Club will have a short business meeting before the panel discussion.
All residents are welcome to attend. No reservations necessary.
