SDWGA Spring/Summer Partners Tournament Results

The final round of the SaddleBrooke Classic was played at SaddleBrooke Ranch.

On May 9 and 10, several Ranch golfers competed in the Southern District Women’s Golf Association (SDWGA) Spring/Summer Partners Tournament. The tournament was held at the beautiful Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson.

Jean Cheszek and her partner Janey Clausen (SaddleBrooke resident) were in the top flight and placed first in the low net competition. Charlotte Graham and Toni Graves played in flight five. They took top honors for low gross.

The SDWGA is a nonprofit organization that is made up of the southern one-third of the Women’s Golf Associations in the state of Arizona. There are 30 member associations, including almost 1,000 members. The SDWGA plays tournaments locally on league days as well as sponsoring three tournaments in the Tucson area each year. The goal of the SDWGA is to promote socialization across the associations, enhance knowledge about the game, and grow the game for women in the Southern District. Jo Helms, member of the Mountain View/Preserve Women’s Golf Association, is the current SDWGA president.
