On the morning of March 25 volunteers toured all around the Ranch to pick up food bags/cash contributions for the SBR spring food drive. This food drive has been conducted annually in collaboration with SaddleBrooke Community Outreach (SBCO). Total cash and food donations far exceeded prior year totals. This was totally due to the generosity of SBR residents and the many volunteers dedicating their time to this event. Total SBR results for 2017: cash collected: $7,600; number of grocery bags collected: 362.
The benefactor of the SBR Food Drive is Tri-Community Food Bank located in Mammoth. Tri-Community feeds over 350 families per month in the local communities of Oracle, Mammoth and San Manuel. SBR and SBCO are truly major supporters of this non-profit food bank.
A big thank you goes out to the many contributors to this year’s food drive.
