Spring into Action with Paper Crafters!

Nichole Lawhon

Spring has sprung for the SaddleBrooke Ranch Paper Crafters. We were all smiles during our latest class where we created mini scrapbooks. These uniquely crafted books are perfect for archiving memories for yourself and make wonderful gifts.

Our April activity was such a success! The challenge was to make a colorful card using stamps, unique colored papers and markers. We also had several stamp sets available during studio time, which was a great opportunity to just stamp away and cut out the images to use with future projects.

Members, please visit the activity center on Mondays during studio time. It is a great way to work with other members and get new ideas for future projects. Plus, we have a unique activity planned for the second Monday of each month where participation is highly encouraged. Below are details for the upcoming activities:

Our May 12 studio activity is creating cardstock from scratch using paper napkins that you can bring, or we will provide materials to use for the day. This handcrafted paper can be used for future paper projects.

On June 9 we will be creating unique window cards. When you are looking at the card, you will have the illusion of gazing out a window. Such a project is good for all levels of card makers and the result will be a stunning card to send to someone special.

If paper crafting sounds interesting to you, we encourage you to visit us on Mondays from 1 to 4 p.m. You can meet crafters who will help you get started and give you inspiration to create paper works of art for you to enjoy in the future. Just bring yourself and all supplies will be provided. Membership is only $20 per year.

We encourage everyone to visit the studio and view the window display on Mondays between 1 and 4 p.m. to view and purchase unique items made by our members.
