Your SBR Technology Club is branching out into some interesting new areas, including home energy saving, photography, 3D printing, and electric vehicles. Our members and others have expressed interest in a variety of additional topics, so we are putting together a late spring and summer calendar of events to satisfy those requests.
As a recent example, on May 5 we hosted an Electric Vehicle Showcase in which five of our Tech Club members (Dave Selkowitz, Kevin Hand, Tom Marshall, Jim Bradford, and Ben Eisenstein) brought their EVs (Cadillac Lyriq, Tesla Model Y, Kia EV8, and Rivian Truck) for a panel discussion and parking lot show-and-tell. It was a most informative afternoon for those seeking the pros and cons on EVs.
More of these types of special events are being planned, including “Intro to Chat GPT” (artificial intelligence tool), which was on the schedule for May 23.
Meanwhile, upcoming in June are:
* June 16, 1:30 p.m.—Intro to CAD & SketchUp (design software)
* June 22, 1 p.m.—Apple Watch Workshop (user experience sharing)
* June 23, 1 p.m.—Using Numbers for Apple (spreadsheets)
We look forward to seeing you at these and future events. Remember to register on our website: sbrtechnology.club.
