Technology Club news

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Technology Club held its quarterly meeting at the Ranch House in the Sol Ballroom. A short meeting was held before the speaker. The number of club members is 298, while in October, there were 310 visits to the tech room, 27 monitors volunteered, and the club held 11 classes/workshops/SIG (special interest group) and open discussions.

In the bylaws, the club has expanded the number of board members to seven. Remaining on the board will be Larry Schweitzer, Carol Andrews, Mike Neal, and Tony Peitrzykoski. They will hold an electronic election via the club website. The nominees are Maria Astaire, Mike Nicholson, and Bruce Strickland. Since seven are needed, please vote yes for all three. Voting will take place on our website beginning Nov. 15 and close Dec. 7.

The speaker this month was Merlin Bressinger from Fast Rhino Computer IT Services. His talk was about the relevance of backing up computers and smartphones. The question is not if you will need a backup someday, but when! Merlin will provide information on this and more and answer your questions. Fast Rhino is a generous sponsor of our website.
