The Health Fair is looking for volunteers

Immunizations are always a busy activity at the Health Fair.

Phyllis Ketring, Publicity Coordinator

Planning is well underway for this year’s Health Fair. The invitation to screeners has been sent out. If you have a doctor, clinic or medical specialty that you would like to have included in the Health Fair, now is the time to recommend them. There is always a waiting list, but it is important to be on the list of invitees. Contact [email protected].

Of course, it is never too soon to volunteer. If you can spare three hours of time in October, the Health Fair Planning Committee needs you. Do you like to meet and greet new people? Sign up for the greeter team. Would you rather distribute surveys? Request a position on the survey team. Perhaps directing traffic is your secret dream. The health fair needs help in the parking lot. If you have a passion to rearrange and move things around, the set up and take down teams can satisfy that need. You may be a generalist at heart. If so request the assist team. It is not necessary to request a team, Volunteer Coordinator Sally Sample is excellent at matching volunteers to assignments.

Even though the Health Fair is a few months away, Sally Sample, our Volunteer Coordinator, is starting the list of volunteers for the Health Fair at SaddleBrooke One Clubhouse on Saturday morning, October 15.

If you would like to learn more about volunteering, contact Sally Sample at [email protected]. For more detailed information on the Health Fair, go to www.sbseniors.org.
