Set-up and clean-up crews
Cheryl (Cher) Stroben
What is SOB? Well, now that you ask, SOB stands for SaddleBrooke Off Road Bunch. We are made up of the original SaddleBrooke Jeep group and SaddleBrooke Ranch members. We are Jeep owners who like to explore off-road sites, stop for lunch and continue on to see more sites, and gather to enjoy each other’s company. But, do not mix us up with the living–on–the–edge bunch or the never–take–a–chance group. Our runs are rated from 2.0 to 4.0 +/- and you can choose which runs you want to take.
* We are a group of couples and singles that likes to take our jeeps off road to see the sites where cars can’t go.
* We have meetings to review trails, pick leaders and co-leaders for those trips, and enjoy each other’s company at social hours.
* We even have a Social Group that plans, sets up, and cleans up after our parties. Our Social Group is headed by Debbie Nechomedi and her minions are Ginny Stiens, Donna Cadet, Karen Lott, and Cher Stroben. We of course rope in the menfolk to help us.
* We are always looking for new members to come join us on our trips, at our parties, and at planning dinners.
On April 22 we had a fun taco dinner gathering looking back to the ’50s and ’60s. One of our own, Bob Stiens, played his guitar and sang for us (he has a great voice). Some members came in costume and some held back their inner child and dressed normally. Dinner was spectacular and we all left with full tummies. In November we are planning on a “cowboy” themed dinner, so polish up those boots and dust off your hat, and think about coming to join us!
