Michele Musgrove
If you hadn’t heard, on Oct. 20 there was a Murder at the Ranch! Gasp! Swoon! Faint!
Whodunit? You will be surprised!
Wine Club of SBR has done it again! There was wonderful wine and food pairings with a little murder on the menu. Who would have thought one of your friends could do this?
A classic tale unfolds as dinner is served. Lemon Herb Chicken Salad, Roasted Pork Tenderloin, Blackened Pork Belly, and Crispy Mushroom Arancini was followed by Chocolate Cake with Berry Compote and Raspberry Sorbet. Kudos to Chef and the kitchen!
Wine pairings to accompany our feast included Stoller Willamette Valley Chardonnay, Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir, and Chehalem Pinot Noir with dinner.
But then a murder most foul was committed!
As the cast from Murder Mystery Company and a handful of characters (your neighbors) left us clues to follow and interrogations to make, the Wine Club members sleuthed out who the elusive killer was …
We ended up with a team of detectives that came in “Dead Last,” which was ironic because the clever killer was at their table! The victorious team of detectives that sleuthed out the crime and found justice were named “Detectives of the Night!” Congratulations!
The final horror was that a woman had done the dastardly deed! Our own Angie Parmely poisoned the Country Club manager! It shows you what jealousy and passion will lead to! Even with all the mayhem, grand fun and laughter were had by all.
Come join us for future wine events and a variety of shenanigans!
