The Steiness Tennis Festival is just around the corner. Hosted by the SaddleBrooke Ranch Tennis Association (SBRTA), this fun event will be held October 23 and 24.
The goal of the tennis festival is to provide competitive play for all skill levels and fun and comradery for all participants and spectators alike. The participants (more than 30 have registered) will be divided into two teams, spreading the talent as evenly as possible. The team with the most wins at the end of the festival can claim bragging rights for the coming year.
The Tennis Festival Dinner Party will take place following the Saturday matches in the Bistro at the La Hacienda Club. Tickets can be purchased until October 15 for $12 from some SBRTA board members: Janice Neal, Linda Bowman, Tove Pape, Alastair Stone, Tom Kanitz and Steve Ordahl. Come cheer for your neighbors and stay for the food.
The SBRTA is also offering a “festival special” of free membership for the remainder of 2015, only if you sign up at the festival. If you haven’t played in a while or are new to the game, consider signing up for the free Monday morning “development” sessions. These sessions are supervised by experienced club members. Inquiries can be sent from the “Contact Us” page on the tennis club’s website: http://www.saddlebrookeranch.org/ tennis/contactUs.php.
