The men’s pool competition within the Tucson Senior Olympics festival was held over two days (Jan. 20 and 21) at Pockets Pool Hall in downtown Tucson. Players came from all over the Tucson area ranging from Casa Grande in the North to Sierra Vista in the South. More than 100 players in total entered the competition and were grouped by age bracket. Each age bracket consisted of 15 to 20 players. The game played was Eight-ball and the competition was structured as a double-elimination knockout.
Five players from SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) entered this year’s competition with two players progressing through their bracket to reach the final table. In the finals, both of our players faced strong opponents and ultimately finished in the silver medal position. Congratulations, Jim Mabbott and Bruce Keller!
