When: Saturday, October 11, 2014 from noon to 2:00 p.m.
Where: HOA1 Activities Center; refreshments included
Why: We need more tutors
Did you know that SaddleBrooke Community Outreach supports reading and math tutoring programs at four local schools? Reading programs are in place at Mountain Vista Elementary School in Oracle and Coronado K-8 School in Catalina while math programs are operating at Mountain Vista, Coronado K-8, San Manuel Jr/Sr High School in San Manuel, and Ironwood Ridge High School in Oro Valley. These programs have helped improve academic performance via one-on-one interaction between tutor and student. Most of this help comes from SaddleBrooke tutor volunteers, your friends and neighbors, and we need more of you. All it takes is a few hours each week.
Come join us on October 11 and find out how each tutor program works. Program heads and current tutors will be available so you can learn firsthand what being a tutor is like. There are no obligations, but we hope you consider becoming a tutor.
You can make a difference. See you there!
