Understanding the Impeachment Process – A Special Event

Kay Lantow

Join your neighbors for a great opportunity to learn about and discuss the impeachment process. Our speaker is Frank Riggs, who as a Congressman from California, was involved in the Clinton impeachment. He will present a historical and Constitutional perspective while offering insights and comparing previous impeachments initiated by Congress to today.

Riggs served in the U.S. Army as a military police officer, and after his discharge, he became a police officer, then a deputy sheriff in Santa Barbara, CA and Sonoma County, respectively. His background includes serving as a member of the Windsor Unified School District Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1988.

From 1990 to 1999, Riggs served in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing California’s first district. In 2001, he moved to Arizona and remained active in both education and public service. He is the founding board president for the Arizona Connections Academy, a statewide online charter school. In 2016, he ran for the Arizona superintendent of public instruction, defeating his opponent in the Republican primary but losing in the general election.

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Republican Club invites all our neighbors to join us in the Sol Ballroom on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m. Invite your friends, and consider enjoying a Ranch House Grill meal before or after the presentation.
