Ernie Nedder
SaddleBrooke Ranch Unit 8, known as ‘party central’ did it again on Friday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day. When Kathy Nedder, a 100 percent Irish lass, sent out the invitations to celebrate the holiday at the Nedder home, she promised a “Ceili” or a wonderful Irish party and said “Cead Mile Failte,” which is Irish for a hundred thousand welcomes.
The 44 people who showed up in appropriate St. Patrick celebratory costumes enjoyed cheese, salad, homemade Irish breads, corned beef, colcannon (potatoes with cabbage), many glasses of Guinness, Irish coffee, dessert and more. To top off the evening friends and neighbors sang a number of Irish songs.
