If you have ever considered volunteering, there are some agencies at this time that are desperately searching for assistance.
The Foster Care Review Board of Pinal County is looking for volunteers from a variety of backgrounds to serve on the monthly reviews of foster care cases. This is an extremely meaningful position that serves as a check and balance on our foster care system. Experience in the child welfare system is not required. Further information can be found at www.azcourts.gov/fcrb/volunteer.aspx.
NW and Oro Valley Hospitals have now reactivated their volunteer services. Since volunteers were not allowed for nearly two years, many of the former volunteers are no longer available. Opportunities exist for reception desk, visiting ambassadors, and other types of assistance. Positions are available at both hospitals as well as the Women’s Health and Surgery Centers. If you are interested, you can get additional information at www.healthiertucson.com/volunteer-opportunities.
