The SBR Art Club is bringing another watercolor instructor to our club. Learn to enjoy watercolors while creating a realistic roadrunner. Come learn basic techniques that will help the beginner and the experienced painter.
Tracy Holmes is a beautiful watercolor artist. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in ceramics. Her artistic program includes classes in watercolor, printmaking, sculpture, oil painting, and drawing. She has 25 years of experience teaching and loves to see that creative spark come to life in her students. Art is a joyful and therapeutic experience that she wants accessible to everyone. Tracy seeks to simplify each step of the project so that anyone can be an artist.
Tracy’s work is available in the SAAG Gallery, Absolutely Art, Tucson Botanical Gardens, Tohono Chul Park, and the Sonoran Desert Museum. Class Description: Learn the proper supplies for quality watercolor plus basic techniques. Take from pencil sketch and step–by–step to realistic animal. It is not necessary to have experience or drawing skills. You will go home with a completed 8” x 8” watercolor roadrunner. Instructor will supply a 12–color watercolor palette, paintbrushes, and paper. Students may bring their own watercolor palette and brushes. If you want to buy your own watercolor set, the instructor recommends a Winsor and Newton travel set to start out.
