We Need You!

Melanie Einbund

Our board is very skilled, pro active and wishes to bring the best that we can be to our congregation and friends. They can’t do it alone! Trust me, I know.

We need a “numbers” person. If you have a background as a CPA, accountant, or financial guru, we are hoping that you will offer your expertise and help our Treasurer and Finance person to work with our numbers, gather information and assist with the reporting of our financial health.

The board has laid out an agenda of maintaining and growing our congregation. Should you have interest in helping either as a board member or with a project, please contact Joy Erickson at infocbm18@gmail.com.

Seeking: Development experience is being sought to help us manage current programming and growth. Experience with educational programming, working with the board and clergy is desired. Organizational and administrative positioning is always desired.

The B’nai Midbar board is an active, energetic, and dynamic group of persons with dynamic personal and professional backgrounds. Meetings and projects are vibrant resulting in teamwork, proficiency, and results. If you like this type of environment and momentum, then being a member of the B’nai Midbar is a position for you.

It is time for honey cakes! A tradition of giving honey cakes at the end of Rosh Hashanah day services is an event met with smiles and appreciation. We need a lead and bakers! We are seeking eight bakers to make 10, one pound honey cakes. Instructions, a recipe (you can use your own if you wish), pans, and labels are given to the bakers. This year I hope that someone will be able to help me lead this event. It is a time of happiness and the sweetness of the honey cakes to take us forward to a Good and Sweet New Year. Please contact Melanie Einbund at meinbund@sbcglobal.net.

Back to the Future: Bonnie Lasky is the chair of our Nominating Committee. B’nai Midbar has grown rapidly over the past three years. While having our beginnings at SaddleBrooke we have ventured out to the Tucson Northwest community. We have answered a need and desire of many looking for a place of worship where they can practice their faith, customs, and traditions. We need you, our congregants, to help us to grow, thrive, and continue on the path of inclusion with the opportunity to celebrate, practice, and learn from Jewish culture and religion in a welcoming and socially fulfilling environment. If you are inclined, have questions, and/or interest, please contact Bonnie at bglasky@att.net. It would be wonderful if you would join us!
