Robin and Jim Garrett come from Bloomington, Ind., to their new home on Copper Basin Way in Unit 19 with their two dogs. They were 32 years in the U.S. Army, living in Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Connecticut, California, Washington, Missouri, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Germany, and while Jim was in Iraq, Robin lived in Indiana. They love all the amenities at SBR, and swimming, woodworking, walking, and Zumba have been the start of their activities at the Ranch.

Ann and John Mike closed on their new home in November 2024, located in Unit 19, on Acadia Lane from New Richmond, Wis., as snowbirds. They have also lived in Saint Paul, Minn. They enjoy the activities, especially pickleball, and all the great neighbors.

Margaret Patterson and Gary Kuck (not pictured) moved into their new home on Persian Drive in Unit 47. They are snowbirds from Minnesota. They love SBR.

Kay Langseth closed in mid-January on her new home on Obsidian in Unit 17, from Livingston, Mont., with her pet. She has also lived in North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Florida, and Nebraska. Kay loves the community.

Pam and Dan Holden closed in April 2025 on their new home on Sand Hurst Unit 21A, but as they are snowbirds, they will be going back and forth from Lampe, Mo. They love the sunshine, activities, hiking, and all swimming related activities.

Karen and Mike Harper closed on their new home in Unit 19 on Cypress Canyon Road in February from Las Cruces, N.M., with their Golden Retriever, Harley. They have also lived in Seattle, Wash.; Bergenfield, N.J.; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and Melbourne, Australia. Our beautiful community, the friendly residents and staff, plus our amenities sold them on the move to the Ranch. Since moving to the Ranch, they love cardmaking, hiking, off-road adventures, and camping with their RV.

Robert and Clarice Rogers closed on their new home on Limestone Street in late February from Louisville, Ky. They also lived in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida. The activities and the opportunities for engaging in the neighborhood along with the climate of Arizona brought them to the Ranch. The activities they enjoy are tennis, pickleball, mah jongg, and various fitness classes.

Teresa and Cory Thies closed late February from California, living on Sand Hurst Lane in Unit 21A in their home at the Ranch with their pet. Cory loves sports and Teresa loves social activities.

Patricia (Pat) and Robert (Bob) Skattum closed on their new home on April 28 on Cypress Canyon Drive in Unit 19 from Liberty Lake, Wash. They have also lived in Connecticut, Michigan, Ohio, and Minnesota. They were sold on the Ranch due to the friendly people, amenities, and golf.

Patty and Richard Hudson moved from Collierville, Tenn., to their new home on Copper Basin Way in Unit 19 with their dogs Rocky and Pretzel. They love the great sense of community they found at the Ranch and EVERYTHING here.

Phil Murray and Lisa Kennedy moved to Misty Basin Road in Unit 2 in late January 2025 from Colorado with their dogs Kallie and Diesel. As with most new residents, the community and the amenities were a big draw to come to the Ranch. They enjoy playing pickleball, POP Tennis, and golf.

Bridget and John Hunsinger closed on their new home on Arbor Basin Road in early March from Oregon. They have also lived in Columbus, Ohio. They are excited to be at the Ranch and enjoy all the amenities.

Mary Beth and Larrie Kosiba closed on their new home in mid-March on Flint Drive in Unit 14A from SunBird Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz., with their dog Marley. They also lived in Valparaiso, Ind., where they owned a miniature horse ranch. Mary Beth’s brother, Mike Holper, a resident of SBR, encouraged them to move to the Ranch. The beautiful location and all the activities were also a draw to move to SBR. While living in SunBird, they both ran the pottery and ceramics studio for 8 years, a very successful Bean Bag Baseball league with 16 teams, were in charge of many card groups, and treasurer of the water volleyball group. Tap them to join your groups as they love to volunteer.

Welcome to our new homeowners moving into our beautiful community in the last few months. We have a wonderful welcome program for all new residents to SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR).
Each month, the Newcomers Welcome Volunteers hold a gathering for new homeowners and renters. On March 25, new and soon-to-be residents attended the Newcomers Welcome Gathering. Please welcome them. Photos were taken by Deb Sandin.
You are invited to attend to learn more about our community. We take photographs of homeowners to be included in the SaddleBrooke Ranch Roundup newspaper. It is optional to have your photograph taken, but it is a good way to be introduced to the community.
We encourage all new residents to visit the SBR HOA Desk to meet Jamie Shipley or Ashley Jennings located at the opposite end of the Ranch House Grill, to receive their orientation information for SaddleBrooke Ranch. We also encourage renters to visit Jamie to receive a renter’s card to use at the fitness center and indoor pool. Jamie can register you with access to other HOA information.
The group of Newcomers Welcome Volunteers consists of SBR residents who enjoy meeting people and welcoming them to our community. They are active and enthusiastically involved with many of the clubs and organizations. Contact our group if you would like to become a Newcomer Welcome Volunteer.
If you have further questions, contact Jamie Shipley at [email protected] or volunteer Linda Shannon-Hills at [email protected]/
