Wellness Roundup: Golder Ranch Fire District—Two Clinics in March and April

Dan Habinek

Linda Shannon-Hills

One of the best resources we have at SaddleBrooke Ranch is the Golder Ranch Fire District. Sure, they can respond quickly to fires or medical incidents, but they have so much more to offer our community. Wellness Roundup is excited to host Golder Ranch FD.

Dan Habinek joined Golder Ranch FD last spring as the Community Education Supervisor. He is thrilled to come to the Ranch on Friday, March 22, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. to do a clinic for all the residents who would like to attend. The clinic will be in the La Mesa/Montana rooms located in La Hacienda Club.

During this clinic, Dan will do an overview of the various Golder Ranch services offered to residents in their district. He will also cover fall prevention, how to use a fire extinguisher, details on smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, how to order lockboxes for your home, and the benefit of having one on your front entrance. He will also discuss their EMS (Emergency Medical Service—ambulance) membership as well as other questions you may have to toss out to Dan during this clinic.

Dan will return to SaddleBrooke Ranch on Friday, April 26, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. for part two of his clinic. This clinic will also be held in La Mesa/Montana rooms located at La Hacienda Club.

During this clinic, Dan will focus on basic first aid, how to put on a tourniquet, basic CPR, how to use an AED device, and basic information on how to deal with burns. As usual, he welcomes questions on what is presented as well as other questions you might have for Golder Ranch FD.

Don’t miss this chance to learn more about basic safety, health, and other information we can all brush up on.
