Wellness Roundup is back this fall. Join us on Friday, Sept. 27, at 1:30 p.m.,for our talk titled “Diff’rent Strokes” presented by Austin White, Stroke Coordinator at Oro Valley Hospital.
During this talk, Austin will discuss what is a stroke, what causes strokes, how to prevent them, and what it looks like when you come to the hospital for a possible stroke. He will also discuss some of the outreach he does with the stroke community.
Austin White is the Stroke Coordinator at Oro Valley Hospital. He went to college at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he attended nursing school. He earned his master’s degree in nursing education from Grand Canyon University. He has 11 years of experience as a registered nurse with a specialty in neuroscience critical care nursing. Austin has a particular interest in stroke prevention, awareness, and survivorship. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, rock climbing, skiing, and camping.
