2025 SBRWGA Club Happenings
Who is the SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association’s (SBRWGA) Most Improved Player for 2025? Joan Grawe receives the award based on her Handicap Index dropping the highest percentage over the season. Who won the largest purse for 2025? Susan Ness was the big winner at $364.33. Who played the most League Day rounds in 2025? Jackie Elphic played 44 rounds.
December Holiday Party Fundraiser
* Our Social Committee, Jen Valverde, Mary Drake, and Kay First, dreamed up a fabulous event. The food and decorations made for a wonderful festive event.
* Our members stepped in and made donations to IMPACT of Southern Arizona totaling $3,335. Jen delivered the donation to Director Michele Santorini and volunteer Kim Bogarata. They were very thankful and stated the money will be earmarked for “The Food Pantry.”
* Of course, no holiday party would be complete without the Christmas sweater contest. Trish Minard had Most Creative; Lynn Skeele-Flynn walked away with Ugliest Sweater; Arlene Fleming, Kim Rice, and Jackie Elphic dressed for the occasion and were voted Most Creative.
* Guess The Golfer: members submitted a unique hard–to-identify story about themselves. It was a fun guessing game during the party.
* And the winner of our 50/50 raffle was Ingrid McManus. The other 50% was donated to IMPACT of Southern Arizona.
Upcoming 2026 Season
We are gearing up for the 2026 tournament season. January 27 was our State Medallion Qualifier #1.
Catalina Cup 2025-2026 Team: Monika Bartko (co-Captain), Barb Simms (co-Captain), Janice Mihora, Diana Walton, Carol Mihal, Kathy Anderson, Nandita Shah, Carol Sacks, Sterlyn Robertson, Karen Jordan, Patty Ross, Joanne Garcia, Arlene Fleming, Jean Cheszek, Lynn Steele-Flynn, Diane Coughlin, Susan Pharr, Karen Oprish. The Catalina Cup is a gross and net match play competition between 13 local clubs taking place from October 2025 to March 2026. A six-person team is selected by each club and the competition rotates to each of the 13 local clubs.
