The Catalina Mountain Chapter (CMC) of the National Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) will resume its monthly meetings on Saturday, Oct. 17. This luncheon meeting will be held at the SaddleBrooke Ranch Grill & Brewery beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Why join CMC? You should join so you can change the lives of homeless veterans.
How do we accomplish this mission? For three years, MOAA has been supporting Esperanza En Escalante (EEE) through National MOAA Foundation Community Outreach Grants. EEE, a Tucson 501(c)(3) organization, helps homeless veterans rebuild their lives and transition to independent living by providing critical housing, integrated services, and programs. Backed by a National MOAA grant and member donations in 2025, CMC purchased laptops, desks, chairs, printers, and other items to enable the life-changing transition of four EEE residents.
What else does CMC have to offer you? By joining CMC you will be immersed in the camaraderie of other fellow military members and also attend luncheons with excellent speakers. As an example, on Oct. 17 our speaker will be Colonel Carey Jones, USAF Retired. She is a seasoned Air Force leader with nearly 30 years of experience in strategy, operations, and education, and known affectionately as “Mamba.” Col. Jones was a F-15 Strike Eagle pilot and an Associate Commander of a pilot training wing. She is the former Commander of the UofA USAF ROTC Detachment where she trained over 110 officer candidates and taught aerospace studies and national security. Her October 2026 topic will be “A family of Service.” Based on her significant and unique military and post-military experience, it will be a presentation that you will not want to miss!

Chapter dues are $30 per calendar year (National MOAA membership is also required in addition to the CMC membership).
