In all the years that The PrimeTime Players have produced live stage productions in SaddleBrooke, we’ve never had anyone from SaddleBrooke Ranch involved in our shows. This time, however, we’re fortunate to have Carol Andrews in our cast and Steve Weiss doing our photography. Calendar Girls, our upcoming spring show, is based on a true story and the 2003 film starring Helen Mirren about a group of ordinary yet extraordinary women, members of a traditional English Women’s club, who persuade one another to pose “nude” for a charity calendar. Puzzling their spouses and mortifying their fellow club members, the “girls” start a media and fundraising phenomenon they could not have imagined. But as media interest snowballs, the Calendar Girls find themselves exposed in ways they’d never expected, revealing more than they’d ever planned. Calendar Girls, quirky, poignant and hilarious, makes you laugh, makes you cry and leaves you feeling better about life than you did when you entered the theatre. The story has many layers and themes including a confirmation that during the later stages of life women can have as much fun and be as relevant as women of a younger age. Since Calendar Girls opened in London it has become the fastest selling play in British theatre history.

Our cast of talented SaddleBrooke (and SaddleBrooke Ranch) actors, includes Carol Andrews, David Fuller, Karen Moore, Fred Lowy, Susan Sterling, Connie Ward, Barbara Honn, Carol Merlini, Sandi Mahanna, Karen Schickedanz, Shawne Cryderman, Ron Andrea, John Allen, Jim Barrett and Don Guillette.
