General meeting – August 12

Please attend the SaddleBrooke Ranch Technology Club (SBR TC) general meeting.
On Monday, Aug. 12, the club will hold a “members only” meeting in the La Mesa and Montana rooms located in the La Hacienda Fitness Center to adopt the SBR TC board-approved bylaws. The bylaws have been posted on the SBR TC website, www.sbrtechnology.club, for the members to review prior to the meeting. Please take the time to review the bylaws, and give us your feedback.
During the meeting, the board will provide a review of the last year and also select a nominating committee to fill two board positions. The term for the new board members starts in January. If you are interested in running for the board position, contact Larry Schweitzer or the selected nominating committee.
During the meeting, Mike Neal also will review the proposed budget for the next fiscal year (July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020). We have had a very successful year of recruiting members, with more than 270. This has helped build our financial base to finance the club’s start up, and the club’s qualification for non-profit status. Being a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has allowed us to purchase some software at a lower price. We need to plan for capital improvements for computer replacement in the future, as well as to purchase additional computers and a few other options.
