Twenty-one undergraduate students from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa enjoyed a visit to the Ranch on January 17. Mark Pohler led an instructional pickleball session which included a demonstration and supervised play. SBR Pickleball Association members Dave Marx, Randy Brosnahan, Ed Harris, Mick Borm and Christi Miller volunteered with pickleball play.
Dr. Anne Marx Scheuerell, Professor of Recreation and Sports Management at Loras College, was one of the two chaperones. Dr. Scheuerell is the daughter of SBR residents, David and Sue Marx. The group visited sports sites in Phoenix and Tucson during their five-day stay.
