The 2019 President’s Cup Tournament was held on March 5 and 6. This is a two-day low net tournament held once a year. The winner is commemorated on the perpetual trophy and receives a nice prize. Thirty-nine women competed in five flights to become President’s Cup champion.
At the end of the first day, Kate Thomsen and Mary Hoover were tied for the lead with a net score of 64. Eight other women were also under par. Day two brought lots of wind and a turn-around in the leaders. Jeanne Osterlund shot a net 62—seven strokes under the next best score of the day. This resulted in Jeanne Osterlund winning the President’s Cup with a two-day score of 130.
