On the evening of October 14, 38 residents of Unit 8A proved that eating chocolate will make you happy at the “Taste of Chocolate” party. From the main entry to the outside patio there were all kinds of chocolates including candies, cupcakes, brownies, cookies and fudge. However, the showstopper of the evening was the chocolate fountain where neighbors enjoyed dipping into the flowing chocolate with an assortment of marshmallows, doughnut holes, pretzels and of course, strawberries. There was also a white chocolate dipping pot for those that only cared for white chocolate. Towards the end of the evening there was a drawing for a huge one pound Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss. The winner was Len Schenkel. Not only did the neighbors relish in all the chocolate treats at the party, but they got to take “chocolate-to-go” bags home for additional savoring of chocolate after the party. Just another fun evening for neighbors in Unit 8A.
