The SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association held its 2017 President’s Cup Tournament on February 14 and 21. The President’s Cup is a two-day low net tournament. Thirty women competed in three different flights to become the 2017 SBRWGA President’s Cup Champion.
After the first day of competition Jo Helms led the field with a net 66, with Mary Hoover, Sue Wells and Stephanie Gaskill close behind her. The second day of competition resulted in a tie between Mary Hoover and Stephanie Gaskill with two-day net scores of 137 each. The tie forced a sudden death playoff between the two competitors, which was held on February 28. Stephanie won the playoff on the second hole by one stroke.
All members of SBRWGA send congratulations to Stephanie Gaskill for her win to achieve the title of 2017 President’s Cup Champion.

Closest to the pin winners were Trisha Kelly and Mary Hoover on hole No. 2, June Nichols and Stephanie Gaskill on hole No. 5, Alex Anna and Mary Snowden on hole No. 12 and CJ Kerley and Joyce DeYoung on hole No. 14.
The ladies of SBRWGA not only enjoyed friendly competition but also a wonderful luncheon provided by the Hacienda Club Bistro organized by social chair Mindy Hawkins.
