The SaddleBrooke Ranch Trap Squad will be at the Club Expo in the Sol Ballroom on Feb. 10. Stop by and see what we are all about.
Our group consists of about 35 shooters with a wide range of skills and experience. We meet every Wednesday morning throughout the year with start times varying depending on the season. Our home trap facility is the Tucson Trap and Skeet Club on Old Ajo Highway southwest of Tucson. It is approximately one hour away. We normally shoot games of Trap but can shoot Skeet and Sporting Clays. This is a shotgun sport and we usually shoot 12 gauge. A trap game is 25 shots total from five positions at clay targets with the object being to break every target.
There are no dues needed to join our squad. To shoot you must buy your shells and pay for each game, which usually ends up at about $20 a game. We typically shoot two to three games in about one hour. After shooting, we traditionally meet for breakfast to discuss how wonderfully we shot. If you like shotgun sports or would like to learn (rental guns are available at the club), please contact Bob Grady at 715-641-2027 or [email protected]. See you at the Club Expo!
