Paper crafters pictured with the bookmarks they created
Nichole Lawhon
Summer is in full swing, but the SaddleBrooke Ranch Paper Crafters are not slowing down in this Arizona heat! We came together for one common goal and crafted over 200 bookmarks to be used in a service to honor one of our dear members. Many of these bookmarks were crafted at home but members also took one day of studio time to complete this heartfelt task. It was such a special day in the studio because in between all the crafting so many memories were shared and the time spent together really showed the benefits of friendships created while being involved in papercrafting here in SaddleBrooke Ranch.
Members also got their creative juices flowing during studio time where we completed a challenge to create cards that featured unique stamping, three various color schemes, and a new crafting technique. At the end of the challenge, members took time to share their completed cards so all could benefit from new ideas.
Members, please take time to visit the activity center on Mondays during studio time. It is a great way to work with other members and get new ideas for future projects. Plus, we have a unique activity planned for the second Monday of each month where participation is encouraged.
Upcoming studio projects include creative ways to stencil on July 14, and on Aug. 11 we will be creating cardstock using paper napkins. Please feel free to bring your favorite stencils or napkins to use during the activity, otherwise materials will be provided.
If paper crafting sounds interesting to you, we encourage you to visit us on Mondays from 1 to 4 p.m. You can meet crafters who will help you get started and give you inspiration to create paper works of art for you to enjoy in the future. Just bring yourself, and all supplies will be provided. Membership is only $20 per year.
