After failing to cooperate on either of the two days originally scheduled for our annual Member-Member Tournament, mother nature provided beautiful weather for our rescheduled one day tournament held on Oct. 21. Thirty-seven two- member teams participated—that’s a total of 74 golfers. Golfers were competing for flight payouts and for the over the field winner whose names are added to the Member-Member Tournament Plaque.
While this is not the tournament with the largest total participation, it is the tournament with the largest SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association (SBRWGA) member participation. Almost 60% of our membership joined in the fun and competition.
Congratulations to our 2025 over the field winners, Susan Pharr and Kay Johnson, with a net score of 66, who also won in the third flight. And congratulations to our other flight winners: Joanne Garcia and Kathy Anderson in the first flight, Jean Cheszek and Stephanie Gaskill in the second flight, Diane Goughlin and Joan Grawa in the fourth flight, and Janice Roach and Terri Menning in the fifth flight.
The tournament was followed by lunch and an awards ceremony on the Event Patio at the Ranch House Grill.
Chip-in Club News
During the third quarter, members of the chip-in club made 28 chip-ins, with 23 members each scoring one or more. Congratulations to Debbie Shelton who scored the most chip-ins this quarter. She made a total of three; one in July, one in August, and one in September.
Coming Soon
SBRWGA rounds out the year with our Club Championship in November (just a little too late in the month for results to be included in this issue of the Roundup) and our annual holiday party in December.
It has been a great year, filled with laughter and friendship, on and off the course.
