The SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association (SBRWGA) is excited to announce Laura Gilchrist as the winner of our 2026 Del Sud Tournament, a two-day, eclectic event. Day one (Feb. 10) went off without a hitch. The weather was beautiful, the winds were calm, and Diana Walton was in the lead after the first round (net -4), with seven players within two strokes (net -2). Day two (scheduled for Feb. 17) was not such a nice day. Due to the recent rain, the course was cart path only, cold, and windy. The League decided to postpone Day two to March 3. What a change in the weather for the re-scheduled event. Not only did we have the original 63 golfers, but another 18 golfers joined us on that day. Laura Gilchrist was one of the players within two strokes of the lead after day one and finished at net -11. Our tournament was sponsored by Golf Cars of Arizona and Team Platinum Realty.
Congratulations to Julie Ross, winner of our 2026 President’s Cup, a two-day, net par event held Feb. 23-24 (in between our Del Sud Tourney). Julie finished at net -5. This tournament is held to honor our present and past presidents. Our sponsors were Blease Financial and Stone Canyon Painting.
Impact Charity Event: A reminder to put your team together for this tournament on Tuesday, April 28. It is a shotgun start with lunch to follow, during which winners will be announced. This fun-filled event raises funds for Impact of Southern Arizona. The luncheon includes an auction and raffle.
