5th Annual Turkey Trot and Food Drive!

Katie Lundgren

Join us Thanksgiving morning—Thursday, Nov. 26 at 9 a.m.

Start your holiday with fun, fitness, and community spirit at our 5th annual Turkey Trot 5K! All are welcome, two-legged and four-legged friends alike, and don’t forget to wear your most festive Turkey Attire!

What Is a Turkey Trot?

It’s a fun, non-competitive 5K walk, jog, or run that’s 3.1 miles through our beautiful neighborhoods. Each year, Unit 6 hosts, and we’ll kick off at the mailboxes halfway down South Cattle Trail. The route will take us to the dog park, through a few neighborhood units, and back.

* The trail will be clearly marked.

* Golf cart volunteers will be stationed along the way to cheer you on and offer assistance.

* A beverage station will be set up at the halfway point.

The walk should take about an hour, but feel free to turn back anytime—this is a no-pressure, all-fun event!

Prizes and Medals!

We’ll be awarding medals to the top three finishers in each category:

Women

Men

Under 18s

(And yes, pets are welcome, as long as they’re well-behaved!)

Support a Great Cause

Instead of a registration fee, please bring non-expired canned or boxed food items as your “entry fee.” All donations are appreciated! This year’s Turkey Trot will benefit IMPACT of Southern Arizona, a local organization that helps individuals achieve self-sufficiency through emergency assistance, job training, and more. Monetary donations will be accepted. Make checks out to “Impact of So. AZ”

Leaving Town Early?

No problem! A donation box will be available starting Thursday, Nov. 19 through Nov. 26, on the patio across from the mailboxes. Look for the signs and giant inflatable turkey. You don’t need to participate in the walk to contribute.

Let’s come together, get moving, and give back to our community.

We hope to see you there!
