The 2017 SaddleBrooke Ranch Women’s Golf Association Club Championship was held April 11 and 18. Thank you to everyone who participated in this two-day, low gross event. SBRWGA had a record number of 22 participants in the championship flights, and several follow the field participants, too!
Congratulations to Jean Cheszek for earning her title of Club Champion for 2017. She shot a gross 73 the first day, followed up with a 72 the second day, for a total gross score of 145. This number is a low gross record for the club.
First runner-up was Jo Helms with a total gross for both days of 163. Second runner-up was Mary Snowden with a 167, followed by third runner-up Alex Anna with 170 and fourth runner-up Brenda Armenia with 174.
The second flight was won by Michelle Carter with a gross total of 185. Second place went to Lorraine Smith 186, third place went to Deb Shelton 189, and there was a tie for fourth place between Marion Ewing and Stephanie Gaskill who both had 190.
The third flight was won by Jeanne Osterlund with a gross total of 187. Second place in this flight went to Joyce DeYoung 195, followed by Nancy Galant in third place with 198 and Bonnie Stark in fourth place with 208.
Following the last day of play a celebration luncheon was held in the Hacienda, and the Club Champion trophy was presented to Jean Cheszek.
