The Quilters here at The Ranch are all humming the tune Anticipation as we eagerly await the opening of the CATC. Many of us have taken a peek through the windows of our new facility which only increased the excitement. The space looks so inviting and we are ready to put it to good use.
As we wait, we are making our sewing machines hum as well as we collectively make quilts for the Tucson Veterans Home. This will be an ongoing community outreach project for the next several months until we deliver our quilts during the week of Veterans Day in November.
Mark your calendars…mid-October we will have a raffle drawing. SBR Piecemaker Diane Still has created a beautiful quilt and has generously donated it as the raffle prize. You will be able to check out this work of art in the display case outside the quilting room just as soon as the CATC is open. Once you see it, you will want to have it as the fall temperatures start to cool. Raffle tickets will go on sale soon…stay tuned.
If you are interested in joining the Piecemakers quilting group, check the Activities Schedule and feel free to drop in at one of our meetings. We hope to see you soon.
