Jewish families in need received a special Passover delivery the Sunday before the holiday. Residents of both SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch volunteered to deliver bags of Passover groceries to families in Tucson.
This was a collaborative effort with members of SaddleBrooke Ranch Shalom Club and SaddleBrooke’s Jewish Friendship Club. Future projects are planned, since there is a need in the community for this type of effort.
Sponsored by Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Southern Arizona, this has been a tradition for more than 40 years.
A Mitzvah usually refers to a charitable and beneficial act. Jewish tradition recognizes 613 mitzvot, and feeding the poor is one of them.
