The GriefShare Ministry of Community Church at SaddleBrooke (CCSB) will hold two special educational and support seminars for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one.
These sessions feature video interviews with counselors, grief experts, and others who have suffered a loss, followed by a small group discussion time. They are designed to help those who are grieving to feel more prepared to face the days to come with hope, as well as a measure of peace and assurance.
Loss of a spouse: Oct 13, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., will offer helpful insights on what to expect in the days to come, how to deal with the loneliness, what to do with your spouse’s belongings, why it won’t always hurt this much, and practical help for dealing with the challenges of widowhood.
Surviving the holidays: Oct 27, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., will help us learn about being prepared for surprising emotions that may hit over the holidays, how to handle family traditions, holiday parties and invitations, and how to survive potentially awkward moments with other people.
Those who attend these seminars will receive a booklet filled with practical tips and encouraging words on how to live with grief and eventually rebuild your life.
