February 23 at 7:00 p.m. at MountainView Ballroom, Health Night Out will feature Healthy Skin, Sheftel Associates, Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology.
Scott Sheftel graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 1984 where he achieved academic honors as a member of the prestigious Honor Society of Phi Beta Kappa Epsilon and in 1988 graduated from the Medical College of Ohio. Dr. Sheftel did his Internal Medicine Residency at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona, and his Dermatology Fellowship at the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Sheftel is an Associate Professor at the University of Arizona. He has authored many scientific articles including publication in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). He has lectured at national meetings and participates in clinical teaching to medical students and dermatology residents. The providers at Sheftel and Associates currently see patients in Green Valley, Globe, Sahuarita, Tucson and Oro Valley.
Dr. Sheftel is a gifted presenter as well as a dermatologist who provides his patients with the latest and most effective treatments. During his presentation he will educate you on how to perform a skin cancer self-examination and help you to understand the ABC’s of Melanoma detection and prevention. Who does most of the surgery, MOHs or not? When is it the best treatment? What’s new in the Dermatology world, who is new at the office?
In addition to his very active practice, Dr. Sheftel has generously underwritten the SaddleBrooke Health Fair for more than 15 years and continues to bring his colleagues with him to again provide free skin cancer checks for 500+ of SaddleBrooke residents who attend the fair.
Those of you who would like a private skin check, Health & Wellness has provided private rooms across the hall, following this talk. This is not a patient finding expedition but an opportunity to get a skin check and if necessary be advised to have your physician tend to any questionable findings. All of us who have known Dr. Sheftel have come to appreciate the many ways that he cares for us: a second skin check, free, is a gift.
Mark your calendars so you won’t miss SaddleBrooke Health Night Out on Monday, February 23, at 7:00 p.m. at the MountainView Country Club for what promises to be an interesting and informative evening.
This is another educational program brought to you by your SaddleBrooke Health and Wellness that is free for all residents.
Come extra early to the MountainView Bistro and enjoy a tasty, healthy entrée prepared by the Bistro’s culinary staff before you stroll down the hall to participate in Health Night Out. SaddleBrooke HOA 2 Food and Beverage is partnering with Health Night Out by offering a yummy, healthy meal in addition to the regular Monday night menu! Make it a “Healthy Night Out!”
