How long is an era? 1,000,000 years? 1,000 years? The dictionary says as long as something very special is happening. So, for this article, an era is two years. The SaddleBrooke Senior Softball Association (SSSA) has five leagues, one of which is the Recreation League. When asked, Peter Romeo, president of SSSA, assembled a coaching team of Peter Romeo, Nick Longo, Robin Kingsley, Don Gentner, Rick Ervin, and Len Gann. Most months for two years, they have conducted Fielding/Hitting and Pitching Clinics for Rec players. The clinics have had an average of 15 players. The tips and insights provided by this coaching team have been most helpful as we Rec players have worked to improve our skills and better appreciate and grasp the game.
