On Aug. 10, SaddleBrooke Ranch Art Club members finished the last watercolor class of a four-part series taught by Karen Brungardt. What a great class and instructor! In addition to reviewing our skills in design, composition, and color usage, Karen showed the class many new techniques that brought several “ah-ha” moments from class members.
Each week, we worked on a different painting. At the beginning of each class, students were encouraged to share their work and were gently critiqued before we began that day’s new painting. Karen generously complimented the class on their skills as artists, and the consensus was that everyone should “keep on painting!” The SBR Art Club hopes to bring Karen back next year for a repeat of both her beginning class and her intermediate “Developing the Painting” class.
