Many people have noted that our tennis club is one of the best clubs at the Ranch for its variety of activities and its opportunity to get exercise and meet new friends. However, if you are interested in the club but haven’t played in a while, brush up your skills in our free Wednesday Tennis Fundamentals and Drop Ball Clinics held every other week from 9 a.m. to noon. The clinic instruction includes safety on the courts, the rules of tennis, keeping score, an explanation of tennis court line markings, hand-eye coordination drills, movement and footwork skills, proper balanced ready position, strategic court positioning, and doubles tactics. Please sign up online or if you are not a member, contact Wayne Watkins at [email protected]. Additional training programs offered to members include weekly pro-run clinics, pro-run group or private lessons, and POP Tennis “Learn to Play” Clinics.

One last thing … it’s not all about tennis and competition! SaddleBrooke Ranch Tennis Association (SBRTA) offers a variety of social activities that members and their guests can enjoy off the courts. A fun time was had by all at the Feb. 23 Play That Funky Music Dance Party at the Gaslight Theater.

If you would like membership information, please contact the club at [email protected]. You may also join the club through the HOA website. Go to the HOA website > Things To Do > Clubs > Tennis Association (SBRTA) > How to become a member.
