The SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Piecemakers were making merry on Dec. 6 at their annual Holiday Luncheon in the Sol Ballroom. More than 50 ladies enjoyed each other’s company. Although the sewing machines were left in the Creative Arts & Technology Center, there was plenty of quilt talk to be heard! A wonderful lunch was provided by Tyler and the SBR food & beverage team. This year the attendees were asked to bring clothing items of tee shirts and sweatpants for Casa de Paz.
The group filled three large totes with donations. All those attendees who brought a donation were gifted a raffle ticket for some wonderful gift baskets. Three lucky quilters will be enjoying gift cards to our local quilt store.
The members of the Ranch Piecemakers donate their time and skill to various local charities including In Reach for our own SaddleBrooke Ranch Residents as well as Casa de Paz, a Pinal County Women’s Shelter providing services, support, and education to all who experience the effects of family dysfunction and violence.
The education committee is offering a beginning quilt series, called Quilt University, starting in January. The Piecemakers have a monthly meeting on the first Friday of the month in the La Vista room in La Hacienda Clubhouse. We invite you to stop by the quilting room or our monthly meeting; guests are always welcome. For membership information, please contact Anne Terrell at [email protected].
We look forward to having you join us as we learn, create, and laugh with other quilters.
